Audit medical records to ensure proper submission of services prior to billing and validate final diagnoses and procedures stated by providers. Receive information to properly bill provider services by supplying correct ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for all diagnoses and procedures performed. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of records to assure completeness of component parts and evaluate documentation consistency and adequacy. Assign appropriate Evaluation & Management levels using correct CPT codes while following coding guidelines and legal requirements to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory bodies. Report compliance problems appropriately in accordance with established policies.
