Job Summary
Medical Coder reviews and assigns CPT and ICD-10 codes to medical encounters and claims to ensure accuracy, compliance, and appropriate reimbursement. This role supports revenue cycle operations by reviewing codes for accuracy and proper documentation, codes operative (OP) reports, applies anatomy and medical terminology, and uses Excel and Word for documentation and reporting. Works as part of a collaborative team focused on accuracy, compliance, and high coding standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Medical Coder
- Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Active certification from AAPC or AHIMA
