Job Summary
Instructors deliver classroom and lab instruction, assess student progress, ensure instructional materials and equipment are ready and maintained, participate in professional development and faculty assessment, ensure compliance with federal/state/accreditation guidelines, and perform other duties as assigned. Requires active certification/licensure where applicable and several years of practical instructional experience; preferred to have a master’s degree relevant to the content area and prior teaching experience in a proprietary education setting. Physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds and standard office/educational environment tasks. Location noted: Raleigh, NC with in-person duties at multiple Raleigh sites.
Required Qualifications
- Active certification or licensure where required
- At least 3 years as an MA/MCA within the last 10 years
- Three (3) years practical work experience in the field of instruction for non-degree/occupational associate degrees
- Four (4) years practical work experience in the field of instruction for Academic Associate or Bachelor's Degree with related degree
- Master's degree in content area or Master's degree with minimum 18 graduate credit hours in content area for online faculty
- Possession of or eligibility for instructor qualification per institutional accreditation standards
- Prior teaching experience or completion of new instructor training
