Medical Clinic Tech (Cantonese/Mandarin)

Job Summary
Greet patients, register them, update information, collect payments, and reschedule appointments during peak hours. Screen and route telephone calls, make reminder calls, send follow-up letters for missed appointments, and record cancellations. Provide language interpretation for providers and nurses to patients in Cantonese or Mandarin. Perform limited medical assistance under supervision, including taking vital signs, height, weight, and other simple nursing procedures. Assist with triage clerical duties, assemble new patient charts, emboss ID cards, maintain and update medical records, pull records for appointments, and file laboratory and radiology reports.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- At least two years of work-related experience
- Bilingual/bicultural in an Asian language (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)
- Familiarity/knowledge of the Asian community
- Medical language interpretation competency
Desired Qualifications
- Experience preferably in a community clinic
- Familiarity with medical billing
- Possession of active CPR training certificate
