Job Summary
Guide claimants through the claim filing process, support them with initial and refiled claims, and determine eligibility under the EEOICPA or other programs. Assist in research and gather work history and medical records, then inform individuals of available resources for their health and wellness. Answer frequent phone calls and emails with internal and external customers in a polite and timely manner. Maintain contact with health service agencies after obtaining a Release of Information to verify claimant eligibility services. Occasionally attend outreach events as needed. Maintain industry knowledge by participating in educational and training opportunities while assisting in identifying process efficiencies.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED
- At least two (2) years of related program or clinical/medical experience and/or training
- Valid Driver's License
- Criminal background clearance
- Driving Record clearance
- OIG Exclusion List clearance
- Sex Offender Registry clearance
- Knowledge of DOL EEOICPA program
- Knowledge of the EEOICPA application process
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to translate terminology into verbal and written communication
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- At least one (1) year of specific DOL EEOICPA program experience
