Job Summary
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the department's requirements, collaborating with medical providers and the care team. Responsibilities include performing procedures/monitoring as ordered, documenting care, teaching patients and families about conditions and treatment plans, preparing patients for self-management, and contributing to continuous quality improvement. Nursing responsibilities span multiple specialties including Cath Lab, CVICU, SICU, MICU, ICU, Emergency Services, Med/Surg, Surgical Services, PEDs, NICU, Women’s Services, Telemetry, Transplant, Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Neurology, Nephrology, and other related units; adherence to nursing models (Assess, Perform, Teach, Manage) and evidence-based practices is emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- RN Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree; BSN required with 12 month enrollment and 24 month Completion (Magnet Hospital)
- Minimum 1 year RN experience in Acute Care
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
