Job Summary
Medical Business Specialist (Receptionist) position serving a Digestive Health Clinic under Munson Healthcare. Responsible for being the first point of contact for patients and families, obtaining/verifying patient and insurance information, entering data into the registration system, scheduling appointments (including return visits, referrals, diagnostics), greeting patients professionally in person and by phone, and responding effectively to patients and families. Requires a high school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred), at least 2 years’ experience in medical practice administration or similar healthcare role, proficiency in typing, Windows, and multiple computer systems. Vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella is required, with flu vaccination annually or an approved exemption. Schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with sign-on bonus offered. Location: Traverse City, MI; in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED.
- Associate Degree Preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Medical Practice Business Associate or working in a similar healthcare role.
- Proficient in typing, Windows, and experience with multiple computer systems.
- Vaccination/Immunization requirements: Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella; flu vaccine annually or approved exemption.
