Job Summary
Review and verify insurance billing accounts, communicate with payers and patients to resolve unpaid claims, and process monthly unpaid claims and EOBs with larger payer adjustments. Follow up on payer denials while managing multiple projects. Requires two years of healthcare billing office experience, knowledge of CPT and diagnosis coding, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Unity Healthcare, a locally owned multi-specialty provider in North Central Indiana, offers this role to support its comprehensive services and award-winning surgery center.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of billing office experience in a Healthcare Organization
- Knowledge of accounts receivable practices and billing office procedures
- Knowledge of CPT coding and Diagnosis coding
- Knowledge of government and regulatory provisions related to collection activities
- Strong PC skills, specifically Microsoft Office products
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to manage multiple projects
