Job Summary
The Medical Billing Specialist will handle inbound calls regarding billing inquiries and follow-up on outstanding patient balances. Responsibilities include communication with patients, reconciliation of accounts, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records. A working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Working knowledge of billing, insurance and interpreting EOB’s is mandatory
Desired Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Customer Billing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills preferred
- Detail oriented with a focus on exceptional customer service
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage individual assignments
