Job Summary
On-site Full-Time Medical Billing Representative responsible for reviewing aging reports, maximizing reimbursement, following up on balances with payers and patients, reading and interpreting transactional data in the practice management system (PMS) and EDI, resolving payer edits and/or rejections, applying knowledge of CPT/ICD-10/CCI edits and HIPAA, performing extensive account follow up, retrieving medical documentation and eligibility results, and documenting results of eligibility confirmations to substantiate correct claim submissions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of experience in a medical billing or patient account setting preferred but not required
- Background checks including county/state checks, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen
