Job Summary
Instructor for Medical Billing and Coding at Southern Careers Institute. The role includes planning and delivering instruction, preparing lesson plans, adapting teaching methods to diverse student needs, and fostering communication and higher-order thinking skills. Requires 5+ years of billing and coding experience, knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and meeting TWC instructor requirements; postsecondary teaching experience is preferred. On-site, part-time position with opportunities for training and development across SCI campuses in Texas.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years progressive experience in medical billing and coding
- Postsecondary teaching experience of at least 1 year (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Anatomy and physiology knowledge
- Meet TWC instructor requirements
