Job Summary
Prepare and submit insurance claims promptly, follow up on outstanding claims, and resubmit denied claims as needed. Monitor insurance responses to ensure timely payment processing, manage Accounts Receivable aging reports, and post payments into the EMR system. Identify solutions to resolve claim issues and answer phones to assist with front office duties. This role supports a well-established Cardiology Clinic with locations in Torrance and Koreatown.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 2 years of recent medical billing experience in an outpatient clinic, preferably in cardiology
- Proficient in navigating the medical insurance billing process
- Knowledgeable in ICD-10 and ICD-11 coding standards
- Highly proficient with computers and billing software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong follow-up skills with a demonstrated sense of urgency
- Exemplary work ethic and professional integrity
