Job Summary
Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness, resolving discrepancies before submission. Submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring they are accurate and complete for prompt payment, while identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances when necessary. Track unpaid and disputed claims, performing collection actions by contacting patients and resubmitting corrected claims to third-party payers. Liaise with healthcare providers, patients, and insurers to resolve payment discrepancies and stay updated on changes in billing regulations. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards throughout all operations.
