Job Summary
File initial and secondary insurance claims electronically via EMR software, post payments, and reconcile claims. Research and resolve claim issues and denied claims with commercial payors and Medicaid. Proactively manage accounts receivable and investigate payment recoupment requests. Maintain confidentiality while working with staff, clients, and payors. Requires 2 years of outpatient medical billing experience and knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Full-time role with 8 am-6 pm hours, no nights or weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience using electronic medical record applications
- Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good organization and time management skills
- Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or equivalent G-suite applications (Word, Excel)
- A minimum of 2 years of outpatient medical billing experience
