Requires EMR proficiency, attention to detail, and experience in medical billing; responsibilities include preparing bank deposits, coordinating with Medicaid and state systems (Vermont Health Connect), managing renewals and sliding fee scales, and supporting front desk and navigator activities across eight locations in Rutland and southern Addison counties. Skills: CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 coding, payer communications, data entry, accuracy, customer service, and knowledge of billing workflows in a healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates Degree preferred
- Prior experience in medical coding/billing required
- Knowledge and experience with CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 coding
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to interact with patients and carriers (insurance) and coordinate with Medicaid, DCF, and VHC
