Job Summary
Full-Time Medical Biller/Coder needed to manage front-end and back-end billing for outpatient/internal medicine and geriatrics across multiple sites. Responsibilities include coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), submitting electronic and paper claims via clearinghouses, managing denials and appeals, reconciling payments and EOBs, verifying insurance eligibility and patient benefits, communicating with patients regarding billing inquiries, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and generating financial/productivity reports. Requires 2+ years of medical billing and coding experience, proficiency with EHR systems (eClinicalWorks/eCW), and a professional coding certification preferred but not essential. On-site, Sugar Land, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of medical billing and coding experience
- Proficient in using EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards
- Experience submitting electronic and paper claims via clearinghouses
- Ability to manage denials, appeals, and reconciliations of payments and EOBs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- HIPAA compliance knowledge
- Professional coding certification (CPC/CPB) preferred but not essential
