Job Summary
Lead the Certificate in Medical Assisting program at South College's new Columbus Campus by collaborating with faculty to promote maximum commitment and results while maintaining high instructional standards. Administer the annual budget, recruit and evaluate faculty, and organize student advising procedures, teaching loads, and quarterly class schedules. Develop relationships with practicum sites and support interprofessional educational opportunities with other programs. Represent the MA program within the community at large. This full-time on-site role in Dublin, OH requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), current MA or RMA credentialing, and at least one year of postsecondary teaching experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Instruction in educational theory and techniques
- MA credential in good standing
- 3 years of employment in a healthcare facility
- 160 hours in an ambulatory setting performing or observing administrative and clinical procedures
- One-year teaching experience in postsecondary and/or vocational/technical education
- MA credential from a NCCA accredited credentialing organization
- RMA credential with 5 years of employment as a medical assistant in the last 7 years (no more than 2 years as an instructor), including both clinical and administrative duties
- RMA credential with 5 years of full-time employment in a healthcare field in the past 7 years, including 40 hours in an ambulatory care setting
