Job Summary
Assist in the delivery of patient care by gathering information during the clinical process under the supervision of Registered Nurses. Verify medications, gather patient history information, and make appropriate referrals for follow-up. Assist healthcare practitioners and respond to patient crises as per site policy. Adhere to infection control principles, provide emotional and physical comfort to patients, and maintain working areas, supplies, and equipment. Attend mandatory staff meetings and training while adhering to the designated work schedule to ensure continuity of patient care and maintain the staffing matrix.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited CMA course
- Currently certified as a Medical Assistant in the State if certification is required by the State or the facility
- Obtain and maintain CPR certification (if required)
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred
