Job Summary
The Medical Assistant/X-Ray Tech is responsible for patient care under the direction of a Physician/Medical Provider, ensuring smooth patient flow, measuring vital signs, preparing patients for exams, assisting in procedures, and maintaining a clean environment. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic tests, CLIA-waived lab tests, and urine drug screens, as well as adhering to facility safety requirements. Candidates must have a high school diploma, medical experience, BCLS certification, and the ability to work various shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Some medical experience
- Ability to work all shifts including day, night, and weekend hours as needed
- Candidate must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Cognitive skills for math, reading, filing and sterile technique skills
Desired Qualifications
- BCLS certification
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with electronic medical records
- Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Job requires physical ability for long-term standing, occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching with reaching above head and below waist
- Job risks include exposure to blood and body fluids, contact with chemicals, lifting of 30 - 40 pounds, and exposure to infectious disease
