Job Summary
The Medical Assistant/X-Ray Tech is responsible for patient care, ensuring a smooth patient flow, and assisting Physicians/Medical Providers with procedures. Key duties include measuring vital signs, preparing patients and exam rooms, performing diagnostic tests and CLIA-waived lab tests, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Candidates must have a high school diploma, some medical experience, BCLS certification, and basic computer skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work varying shifts are essential. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for long periods and handle exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Some medical experience
- BCLS certification
- Ability to work all shifts including day, night, and weekend hours
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with electronic medical records
- Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Job requires physical ability for long-term standing, occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching with reaching above head and below waist
- Job risks include exposure to blood and body fluids, contact with chemicals, lifting of 30 - 40 pounds, and exposure to infectious disease
