Job Summary
Greets and rooms patients per standard, takes histories and vital signs, and prepares patients for exams. Assists providers with exams, surgical procedures, and diagnostic testing while maintaining a sterile environment per Washington State transmission precautions. Administers injections including intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular doses per provider orders. Utilizes EMR efficiently to enter and retrieve data while communicating clearly orally and in writing. Requires current WA State Medical Assistant Certification and BLS certification. Works at Woodinville Urgent Care, with occasional shifts at the Monroe location.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent or applicable coursework to be applied to obtain required WA State Medical Assistant Certification
- Current WA State Medical Assistant Certification
- Current national certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
- Proficient with medical terminology
Desired Qualifications
- National certification through the American Associations of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- 1 year of MA experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
