Job Summary
Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including rooming, vitals, and history intake. Assist providers and nursing staff during fertility-related exams, ultrasounds, IUIs, egg retrievals, and embryo transfers. Provide patient education, maintain privacy, and perform phlebotomy once trained. Set up and break down equipment using sterility protocols, handle specimens, and document care tasks. Support clinic workflow, inventory management, and daily huddles while complying with HIPAA regulations. Work Monday through Friday with early afternoons in a collaborative fertility care team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Current BLS certification, or ability to obtain within designated timeframe
- 2+ years of phlebotomy and clinical patient care experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in fertility, OB/GYN, women's health or surgical clinic setting
- Experience assisting with pelvic exams or ultrasound procedures
- Familiarity with EHR systems
- Knowledge of OSHA, CDC, and infection control standards
