Job Summary
Take vital signs, answer and triage phone calls, and document patient history and immunizations in the EHR. Prepare patients for exams, administer medications, and e-scribe prescriptions to the pharmacy. Maintain equipment, oversee inventory, and conduct quality control checks on machines and kits. Assist providers with treatment, verify lab orders, and perform in-house back office lab tests including glucose and UA dips. Clean and restock patient rooms, open and close the clinic office, and serve as a liaison between departments. Work full-time in a rural-access hospital setting with a $3,000 sign-on bonus and full benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant the intent to become a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) within 90 days of hire
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to maintain accurate records with attention to detail
- Function in a team environment with courteous, compassionate and respectful treatment of patients and other team members
- Good organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year of recent experience working in a providers office
