Job Summary
Conduct rooming for adult and pediatric primary care patients, administering clinical procedures, immunizations, venipuncture, and point-of-care testing. Manage clinical workflows by documenting calls, entering orders, and addressing patient messages via phone or MyChart. Coordinate pre-visit planning, close care gaps, and collaborate with behavioral health and social workers for longitudinal patient support. Maintain knowledge of preventative medicine schedules and chronic disease management while participating in daily huddles and continued education. Work full-time (80 hours bi-weekly) with Saturday morning rotation and no holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program in Healthcare
- Healthcare clinical experience
- Must be certified or registered medical assistant
- Must maintain this certification and registration status Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), through AMT, NCCT, or NHA, or certified Medical Assistant (CAN) by AAMA
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to make quick decisions based on well thought out consequences/results
- Knowledge of EMR, practice management software and medical coding/billing
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare clinical experience preferred physician practice or related field
- Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Attends continued education training and education such as Lunch and Learns and other opportunities
