Job Summary
Medical Assistant to support dermatology/cosmetic procedures at Westlake Dermatology in San Antonio Alamo Heights; responsibilities include assisting physician with patient care, history taking, consent obtaining, cosmetic procedures (Botox, fillers), preparing exam rooms, patient education, EHR charting, scheduling management, and room turnover; requires high school diploma plus MA program or college degree, dermatology/cosmetic clinic experience preferred, and offers $18-$20/hour with benefits for full-time.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma plus either completion of a college degree or a Medical Assistant program required
- Medical assistant certification is preferred
- 1-2 years of prior experience in a dermatology or cosmetic/surgical clinic setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment
- Well-organized with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Empathetic with patient needs and concerns
- Ability to work well with provider, anticipating their needs in regard to patient treatment
- Knowledge of medical and skin care terminology
- Proficient with general computer skills
- Able to stand for long periods of time
