Job Summary
Certified Medical Assistant needed at Western NC Community Health Services (WNCCHS) to work (3) days per week (Mon-Wed) for 8 hours daily providing direct patient care, phlebotomy, venipuncture, EKGs, specimen processing, room setup, vaccine administration, vital signs, minor procedures, and supporting administrative duties. Responsibilities include acting as a preceptor for new staff and assisting with administrative tasks. Requirements include current Medical Assistant certification, at least 1 year of outpatient MA experience, extensive phlebotomy experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records. Required Qualifications
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant
- One (1) year as medical assistant in an outpatient health care setting
- Extensive phlebotomy experience
- Postsecondary technical course(s) helpful, but not required
- Medical Assisting education strongly preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs and Electronic Health Records systems
