Job Summary
Conduct clinical and administrative tasks under provider supervision to support patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and performing non-invasive procedures. Maintain exam rooms, handle patient intake duties such as phone triage and documentation, and manage daily logs and clinic communications. Pre-register patients, verify insurance eligibility, coordinate referrals, and monitor supply inventory levels. Educate patients on medications and diets while ensuring prompt, courteous service. Requires BCLS certification and 0-1 years of medical practice experience.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques
- Basic proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and medical record systems
- Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred
