Job Summary
Room patients, monitor flow, and update electronic medical records with vitals, history, and immunization data. Escort patients to rooms, prepare them for examinations, and assist physicians with procedures while administering medications and ensuring consent is signed. Handle telephone calls for triaging, manage appointment scheduling, and complete pre-certification forms including FMLA and disability documentation. Maintain infection control policies, ensure supplies are stocked, and participate in quality assurance activities. This role supports the licensed health care professionals at Beloit Clinic West Side Clinic, a 36-hour, 8a-5p shift position for certified Medical Assistants.
Required Qualifications
- Certified or Registered as Medical Assistant at time of employment (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Must be CPR certified within 3 months of hire
- Excellent verbal and written communication and counseling skills
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Prior experience in Family Practice
- Two years clinical experience desirable
