Job Summary
Dermatology medical setting requires assisting physicians with patient rooming, histories, and a range of dermatologic procedures including biopsies, Mohs-style techniques, Botox and laser treatments, and other surgical interventions. Clinician-friendly responsibilities include local anesthesia administration, suture removal, sterile technique and infection control, scribing/charting, handling prescriptions and prior authorizations, and coordinating with laboratories for pathology specimens. Must be able to manage up to ~40 patients daily, maintain accurate records, and support operation efficiency in a fast-paced dermatology clinic.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 0–3 years medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate patient records
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic healthcare environment
