Job Summary
The Medical Assistant role combines clinical care and front-office duties in WelbeHealth’s clinic serving seniors. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, taking and recording vital signs, performing pre-exam physicals and routine medical procedures (dressing changes, suture removal), collecting laboratory specimens, sterilizing equipment, maintaining clinic logs and stocked rooms, and assisting with patient check-in/out and appointment scheduling. Requirements include certification by an MA certifying organization, two years of MA experience with frail elderly populations, a two-year MA degree, and phlebotomy experience; CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire (certification upon hire preferred). Compensation offers base pay plus bonus, with a stated range of $23.93 to $28.18 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Certification by a medical assistant certifying organization approved by the state medical board
- Two (2) years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population
- Two (2)-year degree program in medical assistance
- Phlebotomy experience required
- Reliable means of transportation
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certification thereafter; CPR and First Aid certification upon hire preferred
