Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care procedures under supervision, including assisting with exams, obtaining vital signs, and administering vaccines. Complete intake interviews for new and returning patients, process paperwork, and manage prior authorizations while documenting interactions in Epic. Perform supervised laboratory procedures such as urinalysis and rapid testing, and coordinate hospital follow-ups. Maintain a clean, safe clinical environment adhering to OSHA and HIPAA regulations. Participate in team huddles and work across multiple locations including North Bend, Coos Bay, and North Bay clinics.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) credentials from the National HealthCare Association (NHA) obtained within 1 year of employment
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention Comprehensive training class completed within 6 months of hire and recertify prior to the expiration date
- BLS certification obtained within 6 months of hire
- TB (test upon hire)
- Must be flexible to work at any of our locations, including North Bend, Coos Bay, and North Bay clinics, as assigned by the Supervisor
- Must effectively understand vaccines and needle safety, and properly administer vaccines to patients
- Accurately take vital signs, and room patients in accordance with Waterfall workflow standards
- Prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a desk working at a computer
- Repetitive use of hand motion, some reaching bending and/or lifting of up to 20 pounds
- Exposed to sick people
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months' healthcare experience, preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR), such as OCHIN EPIC, highly desirable
