Job Summary

Monitor student retention and placement rates to ensure the campus meets established goals and assist staff with improvement plans. Actively participate in new student orientation, assist with equipment setup, and serve as Lead Faculty for the Medical Assistant program. Collaborate with Career Services to ensure externship requirements are completed while scheduling and conducting student externship site phone conferences and follow-up evaluations. Assist the Regional Campus Director in identifying and interviewing potential faculty members and arrange onboarding and training for new instructors. Achieve and maintain ABHES standards of 70% retention and Ross standards of 80% retention, while striving for positive survey results of 85% or above on Faculty Evaluations and Student Opinion Surveys. This role supports the academic operations of Ross Education's non-profit secondary education centers, embodying core values like humility, kindness, and accountability to deliver an exceptional student experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant with Associate's Degree or higher
  • 3+ years of MA experience
  • Associate's Degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Ability to work at least two evenings a week
  • Experience in educational methodology such as curriculum development, educational psychology, faculty management, training, staff development and/or classroom teaching experience
  • 3+ years of full-time work experience within the past 7 years, in a health care setting with clinical, or clinical & administrative experience
  • Minimum 40 hours of experience in an ambulatory health care setting
  • License, certification or registration in related field
  • Management responsibilities, including staff supervision, projects, goal achievement, compliance and budget
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and coaching skills
  • Ability to interview and hire effectively
  • Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames
  • Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally
  • Sufficient ability to move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation
  • Sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, use white board and use classroom equipment
  • Reference and background check required for employment, including credit check
  • Protection of student and/or employee privacy is expected in the handling of confidential and/or financial information
  • Professional communication encompasses written, oral, visual and digital communication
  • Writing, reading, editing, speaking, listening, software applications, data entry and reporting, and Internet research
  • Ability to build rapport with students and staff and work with teams
  • Ability to remain focused and adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to achieve goals
  • Strong attention to detail & accuracy, and commitment to quality
  • Demonstrate professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor

  • Knowledge of materials (subjects) that will be taught to students and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum

  • Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor

  • Ability to travel to visit clinical sites or other meetings
  • Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum
