Job Summary

Support all aspects of medical practice under direct supervision, including patient care management, laboratory draws, and execution of administrative and clinical procedures. Perform clinical tasks such as aseptic procedures, vital signs, preparing patients, administering injections, and operating office medical equipment. Manage front and back office duties, answer calls, schedule appointments, and ensure patient documentation is recorded in the EMR. Maintain cleanliness, restock supplies, and act as a first-level contact for troubleshooting issues. Adhere to infection control standards, HIPAA laws, and AAAHC requirements while completing 48-hour chart checks. Work Monday through Thursday, 8am – 6pm, and Fridays, 8am – 12pm, with occasional on-call availability for after-hours or weekend events. Travel as necessary using a personal vehicle.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of Medical Assistant Training
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) license
  • Criminal Background Clearance
  • Pass a post-offer drug and alcohol screen
  • Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Ability to work on 'off hours' or 'off days'
  • Ability to work Monday through Thursday, 8am – 6pm and Fridays, 8am – 12pm

Desired Qualifications

  • Registered by the American Medical Technologists
  • Certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related work experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Ex. Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with Epic
  • Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health experience
