Job Summary
Support the Lab and specialty clinics including Rheumatology and Primary Care by providing coverage based on patient volume and assisting on the clinic floor with rooming and patient care duties. Deliver the highest quality of customer service by performing all duties in a professional and engaging manner under the direction of licensed practitioners. Promote the efficient operation of the clinic and provide assistance to physicians and support staff. This role requires a 40-hour weekly schedule Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5pm.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program
- Demonstrate effective communication skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- BLS certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program
- Current Medication Aid Registry listing or completed within first 30 days of hire or transfer date
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a physician's office
- Experience in a related area
- Ability to be bilingual in English and Spanish
- Medical assistant certification
- Medical Scribe experience
