Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant providing clinical care in a hospital-based outpatient department or physician practice under the direction of an LPN, RN or medical provider. Performs intake duties, escorts patients to exam rooms, records medical history and vital signs, conducts routine lab work per clinician direction, and supports front desk operations and administrative tasks. Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s degree (or CMA certification) and 1-2 years in a physician’s office. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, customer service, time-management, and computer skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively within a care-delivery team.
