Job Summary
Medical Assistant position supporting clinicians in outpatient vein, fibroid, vascular, and prostate centers. Responsibilities include greeting patients, escorting to examination rooms, assisting physicians during medical procedures (including Endovenous Laser Therapy), performing clerical tasks (scheduling, forms processing, filing, faxing), maintaining sterile technique and OSHA compliance, preparing IV solutions, assisting ultrasound staff, and training new staff. Will ensure patient needs are met, maintain ready procedure rooms, monitor supply levels, and support post-procedure instructions. Part-time schedule (Mon-Thu, 25-32 hours/week) across Altoona, State College, and Johnstown clinics; compensation $20-$24/hour based on experience and qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- 1-2 years of experience as a medical assistant
- Medical Assistant Certification, preferred
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
