Job Summary
Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival while obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical histories, and clinical information in the electronic medical record. Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, vaccinations, and specimen collection within your scope of training and certification. Manage high-volume patient interactions in a fast-paced environment, utilizing EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient care when applicable. This full-time role floats between Skokie, Elmwood Park, and Belmont clinics with a Monday-Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role
- Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection
- Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program
- Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification
- Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable
