Job Summary
Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival while obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical histories, and clinical information into EMR/EHR systems. Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, vaccinations, and specimen collection within your scope of training and certification. Deliver exceptional patient service by managing high-volume interactions and leveraging bilingual communication skills to support diverse patient needs. Utilize platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to accurately document patient interactions. This float role requires full-time hours between 7am-7pm with weekend availability, and candidates must be National Registered/Certified Medical Assistants with 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- National Registered / Certified Medical Assistant
- Spanish and English speaking
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role
- Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection
- Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to commute to clinics based in Manhattan
- Must be able to work weekends
- Full-time employment
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification
