Job Summary
Welcome, prepare patients for exams, and take vitals while updating medical histories and documenting in the EMR. Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, and basic podiatric services, then apply dressings and provide patient education. Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications, process prescriptions, and handle post-operative phone calls. Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms, ensuring instrument sterilization and inventory management. Maintain accurate documentation and support back-office operations while adhering to HIPAA compliance. This role supports a fast-paced doctor's office, with the ability to travel between local locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- 1+ year of clinical experience
- Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Desired Qualifications
- CMA or RMA certification
- Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes
- Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
