Job Summary

Welcome, prepare patients for exams, and take vitals while updating medical histories and documenting in the EMR. Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, and basic podiatric services, then apply dressings and provide patient education. Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications, and process prescriptions as directed. Open, prep, and close exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage inventory while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Make post-operative phone calls and answer patient questions with excellent customer service. This role supports back-office operations and requires proficiency with Microsoft 365, the ability to travel between local office locations, and a strong capacity to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience
  • Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds

Desired Qualifications

  • CMA or RMA certification
  • Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment
