Job Summary

Medical Assistant provides essential support in a fast-paced doctor’s office, assisting physicians with examinations and in-office procedures, taking vitals and updating EMR, preparing patients, managing lab specimens, insurance verifications, and post-operative follow-up. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, applying dressings and DME, assisting with minor procedures including in-office X-rays, ensuring HIPAA compliance, handling prescriptions, providing patient education and excellent customer service, and supporting back-office operations. Requires strong communication, teamwork, multitasking, and the ability to travel between local office locations. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) is preferred; CMA or RMA certification is a plus.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience
