Job Summary

Medical Assistant supports doctors, staff, and patients in a fast-paced office. Responsibilities include welcoming and preparing patients, taking vitals and medical histories, updating EMR, assisting with minor procedures and post-op care, basic X-rays and podiatric services, applying dressings and managing supplies, handling lab specimens, conducting insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, processing prescriptions, making post-operative follow-up calls, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Must be able to travel between local office locations; must have strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills; proficient with Microsoft 365; HS diploma or GED and MA program completion or 1+ year clinical experience; CMA/RMA certification preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience

Desired Qualifications

  • CMA or RMA certification preferred
  • Experience with medical terminology
  • HIPAA compliant
  • Microsoft 365 proficiency
