Job Summary
The Medical Assistant - Urology supports patient care and clinic operations under physician supervision, including taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, administering medications and vaccines under supervision, processing prescriptions, managing supplies, ensuring HIPAA/OSHA compliance, and assisting with scheduling and patient education. Responsibilities also include phlebotomy, lab procedures, specimen handling, chart updates, and coordinating referrals and preauthorizations to support efficient patient flow and quality care across Riverside Medical Group Urology services.
Required Qualifications
- Education High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Program Graduate, Medical Assistant (Required)
- Licenses and Certifications CMA (or equivalent: CCMA, RMA, AMT, NCCT, CMA - AAMA, MA - ARMA) Upon Hire (Required) or CPR/BLS Upon Hire (Required)
- 1 year Clinical experience (Preferred)
