Medical Assistant - Urology - Float

Medical Assistant in the Urology department at Christie Clinic seeking a full-time staff member to support the Danville and Bloomington clinics; schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm with no nights or weekends, and travel between sites to support the department. Responsibilities include patient care using a structured assessment, preparing exam and treatment rooms, restocking, chart preparation and updating the electronic medical record, appropriate use of flag systems, reviewing worklists in the EMR, completing lab orders and handling specimens, assisting providers with procedures or surgeries, patient education on medications or procedures, and performing related tasks. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and CPR Certification; preferred is prior healthcare experience. Work environment includes a clinical office and Mohs lab with potential exposure to health-care setting risks, and benefits are described in the offer.
