Medical Assistant - Urology Clinic - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Non-Exempt) (Union)

Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain and record vital signs and medication lists, and monitor patient flow. Assist physicians with minor clinical procedures, perform EKGs, and prepare patient charts with pertinent medical information including x-rays and lab work. Set up exam rooms, ensure health care delivery areas are stocked, organized, and disinfected, and maintain files and office supply inventory. Schedule diagnostic tests, implement physician medication orders, and record patient information in the EHR according to Joint Commission standards. Provide coverage for co-workers and communicate patient status when relieving staff. The position requires a High School diploma, Medical Assistant certification, and Basic Life Support (BLS). The hourly rate is $22.88 - $38.90.
