Job Summary

Screen patients, record vital signs, and perform blood draws while administering medication and collecting CLIA waived specimens under provider direction. Maintain medical records, disinfect patient rooms, and assist physicians with wound care, suture removal, and procedures including X-rays and ECGs. Register patients, verify insurance, and perform data entry through the Electronic Medical Record system. Greet visitors, answer phone calls, and schedule appointments while ensuring HIPAA confidentiality. Work in a fast-paced, multi-specialty environment supporting neurology, pain management, and rehabilitation services.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • One year certificate from college or technical school is preferred
  • Familiarity and previous experience working with EMRs is preferred
  • Previous healthcare experience of 1 year is preferred
  • Must be able to achieve CPR certification within 30 days of employment
  • Active CPR certification preferred
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to show superior patient care
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and drive
  • Able to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to none
  • Exudes respect and flexibility to impact the workplace in a positive manner
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others; works well within a team environment
  • Demonstrates excellent skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care, in order to meet documentation standards
  • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement

  • Strong attention to detail
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field desired
  • 6 months of relevant customer service experience preferred
  • Previous experience performing insurance verification is a plus
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Detailed oriented, conscientious and committed to precision in work results
  • Ability to relate to and work effectively with a wonderfully diverse populace
  • Exceptional phone and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with computers, preferably strong typing and desktop navigational skills
  • Ability to multitask and move between responsibilities in fluid manner

  • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards
