Medical Assistant Urgent Care Float

Job Summary
Float between urgent care and outpatient clinics to support clinical teams and ensure patient care delivery. Perform medical assistant duties including patient intake, vital signs monitoring, and basic clinical procedures across multiple practice types. Complete initial hands-on competency-based training within 4-8 weeks while working part-time shifts. Maintain BLS certification and obtain additional CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCCT/NRCMA certification within 120 days. Work variable day shifts Monday through Friday with weekend rotation, adhering to a drug-free workplace policy and required vaccine immunizations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a hands-on competency-based medical assistant training program
- 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- One of the following: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
Desired Qualifications
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 Days
- One of the following: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) within 120 Days
