Job Summary

Place patients in exam rooms, complete intake including medical and social history, and document vitals in the clinic EMR. Provide patient care under physician direction by taking x-rays and assisting in the exam room. Perform daily administrative tasks such as re-stocking rooms, disposing of trash, and cleaning/sterilizing exam and x-ray areas. Conduct health assessments for Upperline Plus patients, perform telephonic outreach for preventative care, and manage care coordination activities including records requests, order management, and appointment scheduling. Travel to surrounding area clinics to provide support as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred
  • X-ray experience is a plus
  • Clinical care coordination or care management experience is ideal
  • Previous experience assisting or providing care to the geriatric patient population is preferred
  • Exceptional customer service highly preferred
  • Previous experience working in an EMR; preferably athenahealth
