Job Summary

Coordinate patient appointments, greet visitors, and measure vital signs while documenting interviews and histories. Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and assist with X-rays and examinations under physician direction. Administer medications, change dressings, and prepare rooms for surgical procedures. Maintain accurate medical records, update patient logs, and ensure HIPAA compliance. Open and close the office daily, manage supply orders, and train new personnel.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
  • 6 months experience working within a physician's office
  • Urology experience
  • Ability to perform well in stressful situations
  • Knowledge in healthcare systems operations such as EMR, Practice Management Solutions
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
  • Project Management
  • Vendor relations
  • Database management
  • Skill in using computer programs and applications including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Delivers exceptional patient service throughout all interactions
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
  • Certification or Registration
  • Minimal travel required to sister site

Desired Qualifications

  • Certification or Registration preferred
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience preferred
  • 6 months experience working within a physician's office desired
  • Urology experience desired
