Job Summary
Interview patients, obtain vital signs, and record data on medical charts. Prepare examination rooms, ensure equipment sterilization, and assist providers with chief complaints, history, and procedures. Draw blood samples and explain medical and surgical procedures to patients. Maintain weekly clinical office inventory and adhere to federal, state, local, and Joint Commission standards. Complete all other duties as assigned while maintaining a safe, secure environment. Requires prior Medical Assistant experience, orthopedic background preferred, and level II background screening.
Required Qualifications
- Previous work experience as a Medical Assistant
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Complete a level II background screening with AHCA
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in orthopedic practice
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in Orthopedic with Electronic Medical Records systems
